By now we have weathered the slowdown in the early part of the year; considering and reconsidering where our life will be 1 year, 5 years, or 10 years from now. But we still don’t have absolute answers. We thought we did until what was hidden came to light.

According to Vedic Philosophical Ayurvedic Theories, when Saturn moved from Scorpio (read about it here) and into Sagittarius, some of what was hidden came to light. It so happened that on inauguration day, we were fooled; or did we fool ourselves? We may never know. However, I spoke of blindfolds and shocks in my projection blog of 2017 (read about it here).

In the mix of it all, the entire society was angry, hostile, agitated, and most of all, aggression was the name of the game when Venus and Mars were in Aries. While Mercury retrograde was direct, time just moved us right into the month of February before we knew it. Jupiter debunked luck and money for many earth signs (looking at VPA) and we entered the darkness of the lunar eclipse in Leo.

The darkness was wretched; it shocked foundations and relationships while taking away things dear to our hearts. Leo represents family and our structure; it questions what was stable and what was not. Leo also asks if something was meant to stay or go; we had no control. With the lack of control all we could do is pray. Then there was Shiva.

Often represented in the form of Pisces, he brought light and the Last Solar Eclipse for Pisces until 2035. With blessings and prayers, he assures us that with a little faith there will be a new beginning. But it means we must look at all aspects of our lives. How much does money control our lives? If it was taken away what would happen?

The universe also questioned our need to control every situation and if, for a brief moment, someone else had the control what would happen? Then came the full moon in Virgo where something had to give. If it got in the way of work, projects, and goals, it ended. Be it a job, partnership, or even prospective interview, it had to be let go.

Now, the universe wants us to consider the last 2 months and think about what we have learned. It’s not like we have not gone down this road before. If you have kept a journal, which I recommend to everyone (especially my private clients), consider the events of April/May in 2010 then compare them to the issues of Mercury retrograde of April/May in 2016. Though the circumstances may not be exactly alike the lessons are surely similar. Since Mercury seems to want to question you, dear Taurus. It seems to me that you are being re-tested every 6 years so you can guess that the next time you will be tested again will be in 2023. So, enjoy this ride. I know…NOT!

The Pre-Progression period of Mercury begins on March 26 2017 and carries on until April 05, 2017 in Aries/Pisces. I consider this a signal from the universe to let all of humanity, especially those that have Earth signs, Mutable signs, and Fire Signs with a main focus of Taurus, to look back at events of March 2006, and 2011 and you think deeply about what could have been changed then and what will you do now. If you do nothing you will also be questioned by the universe again in 2018. Though things are not as intense, the circumstances in one’s life will begin to unfold where difficulties could begin to arise.

By the time April 6 rolls around many will become irritable, and Mercury will begin to touch the heart of fixed signs (Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius, and Taurus). The Pre-Regression period forces some to feel chaotic, as if something is not right or missing. Reflections of these events are linked back to April of 2004, May 2010, and now. But be sure that some of them are resolved. As the universe may ask similar questions in May of 2023 to make sure you have the answers.

The Pre-Regression period is as simple as leaving the keys to a car inside the home and locking yourself out; or leaving something at home when you are halfway to work. It is about minor glitches. Unfortunately, these minor mishaps will continue to disorient us until April 08, 2017.

On April 09, 2017, suddenly, almost everyone that has Taurus in their chart, mutable signs, fixed signs, and earth signs by default, will be affected by the intensity of retrograde energy. It will feel like a bad hangover. But it will not just affect the Taurus’. It will take everyone hostage. This day will seem like forever and many of us may pray for it to be over sooner than later.

Mercury turns retrograde at 4 degrees in Taurus. Mercury retrograde is always known as an omen to communication. In my eyes, Mercury is a Buddha. During the Mercury retrograde stationing period we can become very overwhelmed with TMI (too much information), thus it can cause small details to go unnoticed. It also gives us a time to look at old concerns in a different light, giving a deeper understanding of solutions. I believe Mercury is given a bad rap, like Saturn who is our teacher. Both Mercury and Saturn play a significant role in our lives and without them we cannot fully understand our lives. We can’t learn from our past in order to correct ourselves for the future.

When Mercury is retrograde, all conclusions are more reflective and we lean toward matters and anxieties that communicate to the sign involved. With Mercury retrograde in Taurus, people with this sign prominent in their charts will be predominantly predisposed to such introspection. Mercury retrograde creates a rational and emotional focus on self-autonomy and love with freedom. Attitudes may change, possibly being inclined towards an obstinate and judgmental nature. The big temptation will be to pressure people into sharing the same mind-set.

A planet is termed as retrograde when it gives the impression of moving the wrong way through the zodiac. This customary notion rises in the misleading planetary motion created by the orbital rotation of the earth relative to other planets in our solar system. Planets are never really retrograde or stationary, they just seem that way due to this visual illusion. Retrograde periods, although frequently challenging for us humans, are not rare. Each planet retrogrades except for the Sun and Moon. Mercury, much like the winged messenger of the gods, comes in on feather-light wings and commands us to speak.

Mercury retrograde gives rise to personal confusions: faulty, interrupted, or delayed communications, discussions and trade, along with the malfunctions and failures of telephones, processors, cars, buses, and trains. These complications frequently ascend because a vital piece of data, or element, has gone off track, or askew.

Taurus also refers to resources and those things that are a natural part of our lives such as food, shelter and clothing. Mercury in Taurus conveys facts which deliver evaluation of such objects and the standards we place on them. Monetary values will become a key component which influences the reconsideration. Some people may modify their financial aims and find different resources of financial structure. Mercury retrograde does NOT mean that you must halt the tasks you have in mind rather, take the time to be faultless. Be sure not to sign agreements or get yourself involved in legal disputes because it is a guarantee that there will be reexamination before the next retrograde.

Conversations might be more challenging, as crisscrossed gestures and blurred connotations muddy normally straightforward discussions. Still, with some slight thoughtfulness and reflection, you’ll get your opinion across. Similarly, be prepared with a back-up plan when you’re traveling.

On April 10, 2017, the intensity will continue though it may ease just a bit. However, the hangover will still cause many of us some dizziness. There are two things that earth signs cannot truly live without, especially Taurus. Once they have taste of it they want it over and over. This does not mean that it is bad, rather, sometimes it is difficult to balance both. The love of money and love of love. I would like to say that April 10, 2017 will be the only day you would feel this but this may not be the case.

Mercury Retrograde Regression, which is the hangover after the hangover, will continue until April 14, 2017. It is not recommended any financial, legal decisions, or papers be signed during this time as some important message or detail will be missed. It is also imperative that breakups or misunderstandings be handled with kid gloves as reconciliation may not happen until the next retrograde.

During the end of Mercury Retrograde Regression, on April 14, 2017, and the beginning of Mercury Retrograde Juncture Regression from April 15 through April 27, 2017, there will be mass confusion, especially in the area of relationships. While Venus is another planet of expansion and finances, it is also a planet of love in many senses. It is a time to consider the mistakes of the past. Be careful not to make hasty decisions during the Pre-Regression period as the Mercury Retrograde regression period is still valid and you may have adjustments, changing your mind and heart. Remember, not everyone thinks and acts like we do.

The message of the past is scrambled and is flying through our memory, like a movie on fast forward, to make sure we have all the answers we need. In fact, the information may become very overwhelming April 28, 2017 through May 02, 2017 when Mercury Retrograde moves into Progression period to station direct on May 03, 2017.

Suddenly, for one day the messages will stop. Things become very quiet and quite often many people are told that Mercury is stationed so there is no need to worry but in fact, it is the opposite. Mercury Stations on May 03, 2017 to help humans catch their breath for a moment. This allows the scenes and answers to be fed at a slower speed giving most of us, except fire signs, time to breathe for a minute or two while checking on fire and mutable signs.

On May 4, 2017, the energy will now enter post regression into Aries 24 degrees to test all fire and mutable signs; seeing if their homework from March 26 through April 08, 2017 is finished. If not, Mercury will come back and revisit with the rest in 24 hours.

Finally, Mercury gathers every zodiac through the post juncture and gives each sign homework to do until their period, from May 05, 2017 until May 21, 2017, has concluded. This is when all things return to normal again.

The good things to do when Mercury is Retrograde: reflect, envision, revise, de-clutter, spend time with your pet, listen to music, paint, and catch up on sleep!

Possible Mercurial messages that may need to be revisited are those actions/reactions and communications that continue to be repeated. These have not been the best decisions we made and they have not been the good for everyone. But Mercury will not bring all bad communication, he always brings mixed messages.

Fixed Signs

As a family, we often suffer together. Taurus, as a part of the family of fixed signs, will feel the impact the most. As the recollections of 2004, 2010, and 2015 Mercury retrogrades were not easy, they add to the mix of Venus retrograde which is bound to cause every Taurus, and those in association, a bit of confusion. Money will be problematic and forget love and romance. Leo’s may be suffering some effects of Saturn as it moved into Sagittarius on January 26, 2017 (per VPA read about it here) and the eclipse this February really woke them up. But it shook us all up, including Scorpio’s, when we felt the relief of Saturn moving away from Scorpio (read about it here) and the eclipse bringing tears. And about those tears of loss, Aquarius is still shedding their skin as a result of the 2016 eclipse (read about it here).

Taurus

Areas of reflection and confusion: Well being, disposition, integrity, self-respect, and endurance.
Positive: Professional improvements and escalation in social circles.
Warning: Handle finances, legal issues, and family with care.

Leo

Areas of Reflection: Conviction, belief, perception, knowledge, visions, and revelations.
Positive: remaining full of activity and sufficiently overloaded with work.
Warning: Unanticipated interruptions in travel and expenditures.

Aquarius

Areas of Reflection: Individual environments, educational instruction, family, and secluded matters.
Positive: Surprising monetary increases.
Warning: Be extra cautious with your health, do not trade stocks or bonds, and mind your communication with family.

Scorpio

Areas of Reflection: Trust, legal processes, standing, spouse, and relationships.
Positive: Successes regarding job, money, and travel.
Warning: Refrain from arguments with your loved ones.

Mutable Sign

Since Gemini’s are ruled by the planet of Mercury, family kinship always makes that affected discomfort for all mutable sign 3 to 4 times a year. However, within the past 1.5 years, mutable signs have been blessed with major transformation of the ending of the Pisces eclipse series in February 2017 (read about it here). These signs are blessed with Jupiter still in Virgo (per VPA) until September 2017 (read about it here) and the teacher of past and present karma entering into Sagittarius (per VPA) retrograde on Jan 26, 2017 (read about it here). All of you may have had your share of higher than highs and lower than lows. Perhaps bipolar; it’s not you, it’s the planets. At least Virgo and Pisces are finished with their eclipses and I don’t foresee any eclipses in mutable signs this year or next. But that does not mean you will not be affect by other personal planets.

Gemini

Areas of Reflection: Revenues, money, retention, communication.
Positive: Transfer to a new job, alteration of your home.
Warning: Cease from gossip, boldness, and rage.

Virgo

Areas of Reflection: Long life, coverage, doubts, frustrations, hardship, and griefs.
Positive: Backing from your spouse or partner, and interactions will be delightful.
Warning: Don’t be slothful or defer.

Pisces

Areas of Reflection: Resolution, agreements, move, and finishing responsibilities.
Positive: You will have love, sacrifice, appreciativeness, and genuineness from your spouse.
Warning: Cautious of indulgence and investing in real estate.

Sagittarius

Areas of Reflection: Vigor, nourishment, obligations, distrust, and opponents.
Positive: Your ideas will finally get recognized.
Warning: You may feel fatigued due to work overload. Watch your emotions and legal issues.

Cardinal Signs

Most of you, at the moment, are somewhat worry free. Others may even be looking forward to things coming together soon. Nevertheless, the backlash of Saturn moving into Sagittarius may cause some Aries to drip drop money or have difficulties finding career opportunities. Capricorns maybe getting mixed signals between Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus retrograding. On the other hand, Cancers and Libras may be feeling a little bit at home doing what they need to do; either work to glorify their home or work to make their home more comfortable. Enjoy your time as I can’t say it will be the same during next year’s summertime.

Capricorn

Areas of Reflection: Ethics, higher education, religiousness, and families.
Positive: You may get positive acknowledgment for what you do for fun.
Warning: Cautious about your health and partner/spouse.

Aries

Areas of Reflection: Limitations, excess, dishonesty, verbal abuse, reserves, and offerings.
Positive: You may travel and earn a gain over your competition.
Warning: Cautious economic choices or enterprise should be avoided.

Libra

Areas of Reflection: Heritage, uncertainties, forfeiture, discord, and shame.
Positive: With hard work, you will accomplish your goals.
Warning: Watch your health, expenses, and arguments with relatives.

Cancer

Areas of Reflection: Recognition, dignity, power, promotion, success, and respect.
Positive: You will get involved in new religious activities and dive into your hobbies.
Warning: Watch out for an elderly female in your life with health issues.

With the beautiful moon in Aries/Pisces and first day of Mercury retrograde period, let’s slow down and take a deep breath.

Since Mercury is a very relaxed moving planet and it has consequences for almost all planetary signs, it is my suggestion that you purchase a yellow candle and carve your name through to the wick.

Anoint the candle with Inspiration oil or Eucalyptus oil and chant the Psalm 70 every single night. This period will last for 8 weeks and it will be tough on all of us. The energy of the fusion of candle and oil energy will bring forth welcoming communications as well as compassion in circumstances. You may also choose to recite a mantra every morning until June 03, 2017.

The mantras can be hard to pronounce for many but are a powerful source of energy. I have chosen two mantras for you during this Mercury retrograde:

This mantra is used to triumph spiritual clarity, to avoid and astound confusions, and keep approachable communications flowing.
